It’s been a video fest around the Yee household this past month. Megan made an amazing film trailer, which she has been working on all year!
It has been a ton of work recruiting friends, juggling schedules, collecting props, researching tools, learning about filming angles and shooting technique, writing the script, developing a storyboard, directing the actors, choreographing the fight scenes, handling the crew, shooting the footage, editing the footage, creating special effects, and convincing her brother to be an actor and her mom to make the logo.
Megan has tremendous initiative, drive and vision, as well as an artistic eye.
It’s hard to believe that she has never had any formal training — everything has pretty much been learned by herself, other than a few answers to questions that she asked me when she was first getting started out.
Oh, and it doesn’t hurt to have access to nice equipment and tools her mom owns…and being able to use her mom’s office… (ha ha, the villain works in a church office…)
Even so, I can’t believe my daughter is only
13 14 15 years old and has done this all on her own! (I can never remember her age — she is growing up too quickly!)
Way to go, Megan! After watching this trailer, I want to see the movie!
