One of the projects I do on a regular basis is create announcement graphics for churches.
Our culture is very visually oriented. If someone stands in front to give announcements and just talk, chances are within a few minutes (or seconds!) the audience will begin to tune out. Having a visual backdrop reinforcing the announcement helps keep people engaged.
The slides I create are simple, without all the information packed in. They are meant to be a support to the person talking. They are not meant to have bullet points of all the information that is being communicated, but usually just the date, time and location. Sometimes there might be a phrase or two, but in general the bulletin/program is where the details lie.
Here are few examples that I have designed recently.
Notice that once a brand is created, additional graphics can be customized while still retaining the branding of the ministry, such as in the Young Adults graphics above.
