Protege internship

This year, my church started an internship program called Protege. We have 7 interns who have joined us in different areas such as junior high ministry, children’s ministry, pastoral care, and others. This past two months, I had the privilege of leading them in a class.

Iron Chef Davis

Like mother, like daughter.

Megan loves to do videos. In college, she wants to study film making. Her project this past week is an example of her mad video skills.

Introducing the Ministry Directors

This week, I got to work on a fun video to introduce the Ministry Directors (pastors) to the congregation. I told everyone to think of an animal that represented them and this is what we ended up with.

3 families video

And now for another video! This one tells the story of three families and was also shown this past Sunday during our Village Sunday service.

Rodriguez family video

I’ve been on a roll doing videos lately. This past week I had to do two in preparation for our church’s Village Sunday, which was a week dedicated to the focus on children and youth and raising up the next generation.

The Rodriguez family agreed to be interviewed about their experiences. Albert and I went over to their house and shot the footage and then I edited the video.

This is a totally techy post, so if you are not interested in all the challenges of video making, feel free to skip. But if you make videos and are curious as to all the things that had to be done for the Staff Shift video that I talked about in my previous post, read on! (Or if you just like reading behind the scenes stories of everything that goes wrong, you might find it interesting too.)

Staff shift video

A few weeks ago, I got a chance to make another video. This one was to introduce to our congregation the reorganization among the pastoral staff at our church.

It was a lot of fun and the final was all shot in one take.

New blog — Design Arts Today
