Mother’s Day was super special!
Saturday, May 11th was a busy day full of teenagers! I love how our kids have their friends over. Yes, it is a lot of chaos and noise but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My nephew Steven celebrated his… er… 5th? birthday? I can’t even remember my own age or my kids age… it’s hopeless to try to remember my nephew’s birthday too! Bad auntie!
In my other post I noted how when I fly, I never seem to have a smooth trip. I could also say this is true when I drive to a new location. (And sometimes even to a location that I have been to before.)
Today was a perfect illustration.
This past week I have been in Chicago with other Covenant pastor types. It was our last year-long leadership cohort retreat.
Albert and I went away for a weekend — the first time in a long time! I think the last time we went away was for my birthday last year!
We visited one of our favorite haunts, Petaluma. Exotic vacation destination, I know.
The second celebration we had was with the four of us. I had been wanting to go to Buckhorn Grill because I had heard how yummy the food was. I also got a little taste of it at a catered meal.
I made another scarf on my eight-shaft loom, this time using 20/2 cotton. It looked great, except for some minor mistakes.
