Florida Day 6: Going home

The last day of our trip… going home!

We got to sleep in (wonderful!), packed up, went to IHOP for lunch, returned our rental car, and then hung out at the Orlando airport for a couple of hours. Wow, it’s a nice airport.

Florida Day 5: Universal Studios Islands of Adventure — Spoilers

Our last day of our vacation we went to Universal Studios. I didn’t realize it’s two parks. We went to the side called Islands of Adventure.

It was a day that didn’t go quite as we planned.

Florida Day 4: Monorail tour

Our family was very tired so we decided to take a day off from visiting amusement parks. Yes, we are kind of a low-key family and just like hanging out!

We got to sleep in, which was wonderful. We are also Asian and into being cheap so we decided to do something fun and free — ride the monorail!

Florida Day 3: Disney’s Hollywood Studios — Spoilers!

Yesterday (Sunday) we went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We had a fun time!

Florida Day 2: Epcot

This morning we got up early and went to Epcot. I was glad we got there early. We went on a bunch of rides with no lines! It was nice to go early.

Unplanned first day in Florida

Yesterday our family took all day to fly out to Florida. Today was supposed to be our first day to visit Epcot. However, things didn’t go as planned.

Amazing birthday dinner

During our weekend away, Albert and I made a trip down to Carmel Valley to celebrate my birthday with a dinner. The restaurant was called Marinus and won a ton of awards. I would have to say this was probably one of the top 3 dinners I have ever had in my whole life. Everything was totally delicious. I think the place go the award for most creative cooking in the county or something like that.

Weekend away in Santa Cruz

Last weekend my husband and I went away for a late birthday celebration. It was like a month late but since Easter was so late in April this year, I was busy all month prepping for Easter and we decided to delay the celebration until after Easter. So I booked a weekend in what I thought was Carmel. A few days before we were to go I discovered I had booked a stay in Santa Cruz. Oops. Not sure if I knew that or not when I booked the accommodations. Perhaps it got squeezed out in between all the Easter details.
