In early May, our Sustaining Pastoral Excellence Leadership Cohort had a culmination of a year-long program at a retreat in the Chicago area. The retreat was focused on creativity as well as strategic planning and partnerships. It was a blast!
Last week, when I was up in Chicago for our pastor’s leadership cohort retreat, we started off with an hour and and a half silent retreat. It was the best way possible to start our time together!
It was also a really cool journey into the first chapter of Luke.
On April 13, 11 churches in Davis joined together to serve our community. It was an multi-church effort that ended up with over 700 people participating!
There were something like 30 sites, where people helped clean up landscaping, facilities, and interact and work with people of all ages.
Birthday #4 was celebrated by our church staff. Once a month we have a birthday celebration for all the people who had birthdays that month. Before there were only two of us. I think now there are four! Shelley was so nice and made birthday cakes for us! She made me a red velvet cake because that is one of my favorite cakes! That is so sweet!
For Easter, we did a hand-washing response to the sermon, including really cool water fountains on the side of the worship center. Click here to read more on Churcheventipedia.
Once a month, our staff brown bags our lunches and eats lunch together. Last month, Shelley, who is the designated Party Girl (formerly known as “Morale Officer”), coordinated so we all had a potluck lunch and then a little after-lunch activity (March 12. I’m way behind in blogging!).
New post on Churcheventipedia — my sister’s church did an amazing job for their retreat. Nice stage design, too, Corrie!
