Backdrop was created by Teo Badelescu, a volunteer at our church, out of 1/8" luaun nailed to wooden supports.

Backdrop was painted with a yellow color using rollers. Angela's children Daniel and Megan helped out enthusiastically. Then orange horizontal streaks were painted on.

Light brown streaks were added. Then dark brown streaks were added.

Brown branches and green leaves were added.

Angela's husband Albert helped screw the panels together (there were already hinges that Teo had put on some of the panels)

Black streaks were added to give more depth.

A red area was painted in. Then a paper stencil was taped on. Each letter was cut out and painted with a 1" brush. "Splatters" were applied by hand since the backdrop was too heavy to lay down on the floor. They were deliberately placed to look random!

Closeup of final backdrop. It was brought forward on the stage and accordian-folded to be self-standing (photo not yet available).

The original artwork designed by Michael Sevilla using photographs and Photoshop.
