Appreciation Event Olympic Set Design"

The 2006 Volunteer Appreciation Event had a theme of the Olympics (since the winter Olympics had just been held.) Angela designed a set backdrop for the festivities. She took a photo of the stage of the worship center.

She redrew the stage in Illustrator and designed a set to match the theme.

Here's a view of the actual stage once it was done.

Torch: constructed with 1/8" luan wrapped around wooden supports, covered with corrugated cardboard and spray painted gold

Torch flame: purchased

Blue section: 1/8" luan over wooden supports

Other colored panels: styrofoam

Rings and logo: cut paper

Flags: logos were stenciled with white paint.
