Well, I’ve picked up a new hobby, making jewelry. This has been highly encouraged by my husband and friends as I tend to overwork. (Just a little. :-)) My creative side often goes unattended, but creating things is one way I feel refreshed.
So my dear husband got me a jewelry starter kit and I tried making some new earrings and experimenting. I made a pair the other day and this is my second one:
Unfortunately I broke my camera lens so I tried 3 different cameras to try to take this picture. It’s kind of ridiculous that I I had to use my Nikon 80-200 lens and sit 5 feet away from the earrings and zoom in, because it was the only way I could get it to work!
I hung the earrings on a chopstick and rested in on my lamp right under the light (because I don’t have photographic lights). The black background is the back of my daughter’s stackable office letter trays. High budget, you can tell. The photo came out a bit fuzzier than I would have liked, but it gives a general idea of what the earrings look like.
Well, I’m pretty happy about this second try on making earrings, and a first try making spiral loops on the bottom, though there’s room for improvement.
