2 random pieces of life I thought were fun…
The other week I saw a little creature along the side of the road. I looked carefully and it looked like a large mouse with a long tail. As I looked carefully, I saw it was a kangaroo rat!
Being born and raised in the midwest, a kangaroo rat is a rare sight and I always thought they lived in the southwest desert. I watched it in fascination.
Later I drove by and there it still was, hopping on the side of the road. Unfortunately my iPhone doesn’t have a zoom so this is the best I could do:
It kinda looks like a piece of brown carpet fuzz… albeit a big piece of carpet fuzz. But it was a kangaroo rat. Honest!
The other funny piece was today during work my coworker Glen was illustrating our contrasting communication styles:
He said I (on the left) have more diplomatic tendencies and so when I speak, it is with flowers and sunshine.
Glen (on the right) said he is more direct so when he speaks, it is hammers and nails and storm clouds and thunder.
Keith (in the middle) said his communication style changes depending on the situation, so he is kind of a chameleon. We’re calling him a politician.
Glen majored in Communications. Perhaps one of his classes was Hieroglyphics or Cave Man Dwelling drawing interpretation.
