Today I went to Costco and walked around the store sampling yummy snacks while my husband got his eyes checked. Amazing how many steps you can log at Costco. I logged a couple thousand! It was quite a relaxing day. However, our pocketbook was not too happy as this month our entire family had to get new eyeglasses and contact lenses. Sigh… the curse of Asian nearsightedness. All of our eyes got worse except Daniel, who stayed the same.
Anyway, back to walking. I got a lot of walking done at Costco! However, my plans to walk in the evening were thwarted as we had an impromptu dinner with friends (not that I am complaining…)
I continued my journey through Lewes, Delaware and finally entered my second town, Milton! Hooray! (Gotta celebrate the little things.)
However, Milton is not too much terribly more exciting than Lewes. If anything, it’s a bit more dull. At least the road has an interesting name — Cave Neck Road. Wonder why it’s called that?
Fields, fields, wonderful fields…
I did enjoy clicking along the road and watching the weather change, though. You can see the storm clouds roll in as you travel from Lewes to Milton. The Google Map Photo Car (or whatever it’s called) even passed a vehicle so one of the photos showed it driving down the left lane. It’s kinda fun to travel the US via Google Maps.
It’s very interesting that obviously the Google Map Photo Car was traveling east as it took pictures. If you try to click on the road heading west, it looks like the car in the picture is traveling backwards (the one in the photo above). It’s a bit of an odd feeling!
I wonder if it is boring to my readers for me to post this kind of stuff? I put the last post all on one week so people don’t get too bored… but perhaps it is easier just to read a little each day… hopefully my commentary will be somewhat interesting… 🙂 Oh well, it’s fun for me! 🙂
