First lace wrap

I finally finished my first lace wrap! It took a couple months, in between work, life and other knitting projects.

I bought the pattern at a yarn store. It is knit is out of Valley Yarns 2/10 Merino Tencel in plum color. My color’s not too accurate here.’s color is much more accurate.

Here’s the link to the pattern, as well as pictures of how the project looks when done.

I had a bear of a time trying to work on this thing until I discovered stitch markers, which helped me know if I started getting off. And when I was done, I had no idea how to block so I just ironed the thing. I know you’re not supposed to do that but this is what happens when you learn to knit on your own and can’t figure out blocking just from reading websites. (And also I am too lazy to figure out where to get pins and tack the thing to dry!)

I know the master knitters are turning over in their graves… but for me the fun is all in the knitting!

Now onto the next project…
