Nephews update

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to visit my nephews. Between working on my days off, being exhausted and not matching up with the kids’ awake times, I’ve been really bummed that I haven’t had a chance to see them! So today it was great that when I went by, both nephews were actually awake!

In fact, Matthew was so cute all by himself kicking and playing on a blanket in the middle of the room.

He was happily self-amused, something, I hear, that is not his usual mode. But he coulda fooled me. He kept looking at me and smiling and even gave some laughs.

Unfortunately my point and shoot doesn’t capture the kind of quality that my SLR does, but it’s better than my phone! It wasn’t quite focused but if it had been, this would have been a great shot!

Well I just couldn’t bear to leave him on the floor by himself. I had to get my baby fix, after all. Corrie tried to take a picture. You can tell who is the more important and cute person in this picture.

It was so adorable how he would reach up and pat my face with his hands. What a smiley, happy kid!

Corrie said, “Oops,” and took the picture again.

I also enjoyed seeing the older brother. Steven amused us by reading us his “book” and throwing paper airplanes. He is such a sweet boy — even gave Matthew his “book” to play with!

Though it was a short visit, it was a nice change of pace from working and teenagers in the house!
