Florida Day 6: Going home

The last day of our trip… going home!

We got to sleep in (wonderful!), packed up, went to IHOP for lunch, returned our rental car, and then hung out at the Orlando airport for a couple of hours. Wow, it’s a nice airport.

We sat by the fountain because we got there a bit early. There is a huge courtyard… and a hotel!

It was such a nice setting.

However I must admit that was not my first attempt to take the photo. In my first try, my high maintenance son was looking for some attention.

I love that kid.

After a while he took a nap on a bench and I tried to take a picture of the fountain with a slow shutter setting — 1/15th second. It gave the water a softer, blurry look. I used my auto timer for the first time and set the camera on a ledge.

Eventually we left, flew to Nashville, flew to L.A., and flew home. There was a 40 minute delay because the pilot got stuck coming in on a plane due to bad weather. But all in all our flights were very smooth.

We got home past 11 pm and Corrie had to get out of bed to pick us up — what a nice sister!

We had a wonderful trip but it was sure sooooo nice to get back home!!!! Home sweet home!

Love the forehead shot … adds a nice texture to the overall image; plus, it lends explanation to the “lean” of the picture … kind of like a giant anchor dragging the hotel down …

Did you notice that you got all these shots of the fountain with waters at different levels? Nice pictures.
