My mom turned 70 this year. We delayed her celebration until this past week because my sister Leslie’s family was coming out from Boston. This past Monday we went to a restaurant to celebrate. It was the first time in years all our families had an opportunity to be together!
Leslie’s youngest, Joshua (center left) is 6. I like this picture of Matthew looking at Joshua. Joshua, Steven and Matthew hung out together most of the time this past week.
Meanwhile, the older kids (left to right: Jonathan, Marisa, Megan, Daniel, and Ethan) spent the rest of the week together. Ethan (15), Marisa (13), and Jonathan (11???) slept at our house. (My ages here might not be too accurate. I’m not the best with numbers!)
Leslie knitted cat hats for Steven and Matthew. Here is Matthew modeling both of them. Just toooooo cute!!!!
The group was too big to fit around one table so the grown-ups sat at one table.
The food was yummy and there was lots of it.
My favorite was the Peking Duck.
Here’s the family! Leslie’s husband Ling Yi is on the right — the other pictures I took of him were blurry. My mom is surrounded by two generations of family!
Happy birthday, Ah-ma!
