For tomato lovers

Daniel has done a great job cooking this summer. He’s learned a lot about cooking. This week he had to deal with stuffed tomatoes. We ended up with what felt like the world’s largest tomatoes for dinner!

I thought I was getting a few medium sized tomatoes but ended up with some monsters. Good thing Daniel’s friend Albin was visiting! Daniel drafted him into helping him cook dinner. It took forever to dig out the insides of those tomatoes and stuff them with curry chicken.

It sure was yummy though! The tomatoes were a bit bland — Albert said all the taste has been bred out of tomatoes these days! But the stuffing was delicious!

Megan, who does not care for tomatoes, was not very thrilled, but did due diligence on her portion. I noticed she did not go for leftovers, however. 🙂

Time to start growing your own tomatoes! That will put the taste back into them…and they are SO EASY! 😉

Hmm… the idea has merit. Albert tried this a couple years ago (see his post) but our general history in growing anything is quite dismal. We have black thumbs. 🙁

    Great to hear from you!
