They mystery of blog hits

My blog doesn’t have a big readership. I’m ok with that — I blog mostly for fun. Maybe 30 people read it, some days even 50. So it was a bit baffling that my stats page looked like this today:

I got 670 hits today. 630 of them were for one page:

A section on referrals said that these hits came from people searching for the phrase “flower centerpieces.”

I confess I am a bit baffled. I don’t think that page on flower centerpieces has ever shown up anywhere on my top views page. It’s only two lines long and is really just a link to another post on another blog.

It appears that suddenly people have made a run for floating centerpieces. Is it wedding season? Are people planning floating centerpieces for Halloween or Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Either that or I am getting spammed. Who knows?

The world of interpreting statistics… utterly befuddling.
