Last month our small group was super blessed to have the opportunity to have very delicious homemade pizza!
The Pu family has a pizza oven in their back yard and invited us all over for a pizza party. People brought different ingredients and we all made our own personal-sized pizzas. Here’s Tony… I think he was making the sauce.
It was quite an impressive party. The kids even decorated signs for the different stations!
Even the spice and condiments station was impressive.
As were the really ripe and red and really delicious tomatoes.
And also the assorted cheeses people brought. Wow, I am feeling hungry right now just looking at these pictures!
Soooo many veggies too, for the healthy types. And mothers who make their children eat vegetables. Just sayin’.
The Pu’s made up their delicious pizza dough.
Each person took a paddle, spread out the dough, and added whatever ingredients they wanted, as Albert did here.
Except, my husband got a little distracted once he discovered two fly swatters. He felt inspired to do a few Kung-Fu moves…
… including one made popular by the movie The Matrix.
The party was a family affair. Our kids even went. Now that they are older teens they don’t often join us when we go out. I love this picture of them!
Their other teenage friends were there too. They had a good time.
After making the pizza, we would all go outside…
go to the oven, where the pizza was scraped off the paddle and into the oven…
… and waited a few minutes while the pizzas cooked. That oven was hot! It only took a few minutes and they were done.
Then the long metal paddle would take the pizza back out.
Voila! Sooo delicious!
It was a lot of fun to hang out as a small group… kids of all ages running around while adults sat around and talked. Community is a pretty awesome thing!
