The last baby

I am hopelessly behind in my blog so I have given up trying to keep chronological order. I will just post willy-nilly with no concern for timeline whatsoever!

So here is the news in my life… I met my new nephew, Baby Xavier!

My sister Leslie is visiting and I got to meet him for the first time. At six months, this kid is super cuddly. Here he is with his mother. All smiles!

I got to hold him a lot too! He was very engaged.

We had a little photo shoot too, with my nice camera.

Hee hee, what a smile!

Here you can see a bit more of his personality.

It was the cutest thing that Leslie put him on the floor to sleep. He just conked out. I guess he likes to lie down to sleep. Awww, so sweet!

The sling is awesome. It holds the weight and I can carry him for a long time. He is super comfy in it and falls asleep easily…

…whereupon I become like his Auntie Corrie and start taking lots of sleeping baby pictures.

Out cold!

Today he was full blown sick. We went to Starbucks for some coffee and the poor kid barely cracked a smile. He was pretty miserable.

Ooo, oooo, aaaaaaalmost a smile!

This is the cutest shot from my point of view holding him.

Poor sad boy. Today he slept most of the day, would wake up and cry and then fall asleep again in our arms. He is all congested and we can hear the mucus rattling around in his chest.

But even when he is sick, he is super cuddly. I’m getting a major baby fix because this will be the last baby in our family for a long while! My sister’s kids span from college to infant and I don’t think she is having more kids. Corrie is done and we are done, so now we will just have to wait until the grandkids come along.

In the meantime, I am enjoying my baby nephew this week!

Poor Xavier, I wish he were not so sick. However, we can still thank the Lord b/c he is so cute that we can still enjoy him. I’m praying that he’ll recover soon.

I think you held Xavier the most when I was visiting. Did you notice in his sleeping pix how his eyelashes curl upwards? We say he has girl eyelashes like in a cartoon drawing.

    You’re right! I didn’t even notice! Yes, I was kind of a Xavier hog… couldn’t help myself!
