Swarming birds

Dec 12, 2013 – Being an urban type, it is not often that I get to see strange behavior in nature. A while back my husband and I were in Sacramento when we saw what appeared to be alien clouds above us.

Once we got nearer we discovered it was actually a swarm of birds.

The birds swooped around and the shape of the cloud was constantly changing.

It was quite fascinating to watch. People got out of their cars and stood around taking pictures as well.

It really amazes me how God has bred this instinct into birds that they can change on a dime and make group decisions on where to fly. For an urban gal like me, it was quite fascinating!

Uhhh … You actually live in a SUB-urban area; hence, it would be more technically correct to refer to yourself as a “suburban gal”.

I think those birds are starrings. They usually do that.
