Boston Day 4 – Cute baby and construction tour

I am having a delightful time with my baby nephew.

I mean, really, who could not love such a cutie as this????

I am always carrying my camera around following him to snap pictures because he is so much fun!

He is very good natured and very curious. Also, he likes to eat everything. Yesterday I found he had climbed into the Forbidden Territory (the stairs) and was munching on a dirty slipper. Today he was into dangerous weapons.

 Baby and Mommy!

This kid receives much love. Older siblings are also always picking him up. His auntie smothers him with kisses too.

The only time he screeches is when he eats and can’t get his food fast enough. He takes eating very seriously.

Leslie and I went out to visit her husband’s construction site. They are building an apartment complex.

He took us on a tour of the building.

One side had the siding put up already.

We got to see the unfinished hallways. We had to wear hard hats. I decided I have an unusually-shaped head. The hard hat did not fit right. It kept falling off, even when it was tightened.

Underneath they are still working on the parking garage.

There is even a parking garage for bikes!

The model unit was so beautiful!

They did a very nice job decorating it.

Then we returned to the unfinished hallways.

We went to the top unit and got to see the views that resident will have!

On the way home, we drove by Harvard. It is all brick. My sister got a masters there. I forgot she got two master’s degrees, one in applied physics and the other in environmental policy (or something like that). I am 35 years behind her… and studying art.

There were many Harvard buildings made of brick. You don’t see very many of these around California!

There are lots of steeples too.

The rest of the day was pretty low key. I cooked dinner to give my sis a break, and have been doing homework. Also we talked about lamps and rugs and redoing her living room. Got to put some of my design skills to work!

And now it is raining and thundering outside… something I miss in California!

I like that picture of Xavier peeking up and munching on the sword. That is really gross he munched on the slipper. I used that to kill the spider in your room.

Really enjoying the Boston tour thru your lense … The Harvard pics brought back fond memories of the school tour Karen & I took 25 years ago … And of course, LOVING the shots of X-boy!

Wow, in 11 months’ time, Ling Yi finished his last project, a condo building, and is half finished with this new apartment building! That’s quite amazing.
I think Leslie got a Master’s from Harvard in Applied Physics and her 2nd Master’s from MIT in Environmental Physics. Although my memory these days is much worse more than a year ago when I was in Wayland between my two medical trips to Taiwan, my memory from the late 80’s seems to still hold on.
