Saddleback Church in Anaheim is moving into a new building this year, and is having a campaign called “Love North OC.” This phrase encapsulates the vision of the church in expanding its ability to love the communities of North Orange County. It is an exciting focus for the congregation, as for four years the church has met in a concert hall called The Grove. The move will enable the church to develop many more new ministries to serve the people of the community.
I designed a few logos, and the one below was chosen. It represents the exciting direction of the campaign, the diversity of the church, and the Saddleback Church logo is embedded, as its philosophy is “One Church, Many Locations.” The lines visually pull the different fonts together to create a cohesive logo.
Because the logo would be used by multiple designers and potentially different staff at different branches, I created a style guide to show correct usage of the logo.
Many items were created, including stickers and window clings.
The logo was used for apparel as well.
Here’s an example of a women’s t-shirt. (There were men/unisex ones as well.)
The hoodies were a big hit!
The logo is being used in videos, social media, and on a big sticker board for people who want to be part of the effort. It’s a visual reminder of the exciting vision for the future!
